    • Indian Forest Service is a Forestry service in India and was started in the year 1966. The candidates selected for IFS are responsible for managing the vast range of forest along the length and breadth of India. The candidates are trained at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration at Mussoorie followed by another training at Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy at Dehradun. IFS has succeeded Imperial Forestry Service and is controlled by Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India.
    • Indian Foreign Service is the foreign service of India. It was formed in the year 1946. The administrative head of IFS is Foreign Secretary of India. The training for IFS is conducted at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie.
