    • Plasticity Index is a measure of the plasticity of the soil. It is calculated by taking the difference between Liquid Limit and plastic limit of the soil. The various range of PI is as follow:
      0 – Nonplastic
      (0-5)- Slightly plastic
      (5-20) – Low plasticity
      (10-20) – Medium plasticity
      (20-40) – High plasticity
      >40 Very high plasticity
It is measured for various construction activity to be performed in a soil. To be used in the WBM, quary dust must have a PI of not less than 6.
