    • One day International is format of cricket that is played for 50 overs between two teams. The rules and guidelines for the ODI are set by ICC. It was first played in the year 1971 between Australia and England where Australia beat England. Owing to its popularity the first ODI world cup was held in the year 1975 and was won by West Indies. Australia has won the ODI World Cup maximum number of teams winning it on four occasions. The most successful batsmen in the ODI history is Sachin Tendulkar in terms of total runs scored and the number of centuries hit. While Virendra Sehwag hold the record for highest individual score in a match with a score of 217 not out.
