    • NABARD is the apex body that takes care of the cottage industries, small industries, village industries and other rural industries. It was established on July 12th, 1982 and has its headquarter at Mumbai, India. Additionally it has branches all over India. Its main focus is the upliftment of rural India by increasing credit flow. Government of India holds 99% stake in NABARD. It promotes various development activities in rural India. It also refinances the financial institutions that finance rural sector in addition to providing training facilities to institutions working for rural upliftment.
