    • International Organization for Standardization known as ISO is a non-governmental organization for international standardization across the world. It has representative members from various national standards organizations. The headquarter is located at Geneva, Switzerland and was formed in 1947. The term ISO is not an abbreviation of the name of the organization in any language. ISO is responsible for publishing international standards, technical papers, technical specifications and guides. Out of 205 countries in the world 162 nations are members of ISO. It has three member categories- member bodies, corespondent members and subscriber members.
