    • It is the world’s largest fertilizer cooperative federation and is based in India. In the year 2011 it was ranked at 37 position in top companies in India by Fortune India 500 list. It was registered in the year 1967. The main purpose of its formation was to manufacture and develop fertilizers for the farmers of India so that the dependence on public and private sectors should reduce. Currently the number of co-operative societies associated with IFFCO numbers more than 39,000. IFFCO has entered into strategic diversification and joint ventures with number of Indian and international organizations. Some of the notable one are: 1. Indian Potash Limited 2.
