    • Extra High Tension more commonly referred as high voltage usually means electrical energy at voltages high enough to inflict harm or death upon living things. But the usage may vary depending upon the context. In some industries there might be set thresold level over which any electrical energy is termed as extra high tension. The equipment and conductor in such cases have to satisfy certain safety requirements and procedures. Electric discharge at such high level can also produce small quantities of toxic gases.
      There is a limit to which human beings can produce EHT normally. But nature has a way of telling that who is supreme. The largest-scale sparks are those produced naturally by lightning.
